We built Cosmopolitan Squirrel after watching too many AI and BI projects die for the same reason: a beautiful tool nobody used, built by people who left before the dust settled.
The name is a small joke that ended up serious. A squirrel gathers, classifies, and remembers — and the urban ones, the cosmopolitan ones, do it across territories nobody mapped for them. That's the shape of the work: take what's scattered, turn it into something useful, and leave the team better at it than when we arrived.
We're based in Porto, work mostly in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French, and travel to where the data lives when we have to. Most engagements are remote-first; some need a few weeks on the ground.
Each engagement gets focused attention. A senior practitioner owns the work end-to-end, with specialists brought in where they add real value. We size the team to the problem, not the other way round.
